FAQ
Billing
Do I need a credit card to try OpsTech? No. Every new account starts with a free trial that doesn't require payment details upfront.
How does billing work? Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, a widely used payment processor. Your plan renews automatically until you cancel; you can view your billing history and manage your payment method from the console at any time.
What happens if I pause or cancel? Pausing stops your agent from responding but keeps everything — memory, connected tools, conversation history — exactly as it was, ready to resume. Cancelling pauses your agent immediately; your data is then kept for a short grace period in case you change your mind, after which it's permanently removed. Resuming before that window closes brings everything back exactly as you left it.
Can I have more than one agent? Today, each account is set up with one agent. If you need more, reach out — see Support.
Security & privacy
Is my data shared with other customers? No. Each agent is dedicated to your account — its memory, files, and conversation history are yours alone.
What happens when my agent uses a tool (like browsing the web or reading a file)? That action runs in an isolated environment, separate from your account credentials and billing information. This is a deliberate design choice: even if a connected tool misbehaves, it cannot reach your account.
Is my login secure? Yes — sign-in uses a modern, passwordless flow (a one-time code sent to your email), and the same secure session protects both your console and your agent.
Using your agent
Does my agent forget things between conversations? No — your agent's memory persists across sessions. You can start a fresh conversation thread at any time without losing its longer-term memory of you.
Can I talk to my agent from my phone? Yes — connect Telegram from the console, or simply email your agent directly. See Using your agent.
Can I add my own tools/integrations? The console offers a growing catalog of tools you can connect in a couple of clicks. If there's a specific integration you need, let us know — see Support.
Products
What is Buzz? Buzz is a Slack-like team chat where your OpsTech agent can join as a teammate. It's still in development and not yet generally available — see Buzz for the current status.
What is Paperclip? Paperclip is a workspace/dashboard product. Development is currently paused, so it isn't available to purchase today — see Paperclip.
Will there be more plans or agent types in the future? Yes — see Plans & billing for what's available today and what's planned.
